April 19,
2004

Date of Delivery: April 24th - 25th
Installation set to begin: April 26th
Length of Installation: Approximately Three (3) Weeks

April 21,
2004
Brunswick
called and confirmed delivery for Monday, April 26th. A pair of
lanes are supposed to be completed per day.
Lanes will be closed off half at a time, which will only leave
18 lanes available during the duration of the work period.
When the first half is completed, work will switch to the other
half.
April 26,
2004
Delivery
arrived and most of the day was spent unloading
the trailer and taking it to the Playroom where it will remain
until needed. Plastic was hung from lanes 18 down to lane 5.
This will leave enough room for easy access to the material
stored in the Playroom
April 27,
2004
Work has
Begun! Pin Decks are being cut out of the first
18 lanes. Ball returns have been removed to provide access
area to lay the new material. Lanes and approaches are being
planed and sanded, where they meet, to ensure a level surface
for the Pro Lane Install.
April 30,
2004
Work has
been a little behind since losing most of the day on Monday to unload
the truck, but continues to progress. All high spots on the lanes
have been leveled and smoothed out. The first 9 lanes are covered
and the first 4 approaches are covered. The new pin decks are in
place and ready to be installed.
May 3, 2004
Lanes are
covered up to 14 and approaches up to lane 7. While some of the
remaining lanes are put together, pin decks are being installed.
Starting to put ball returns back together.
May 5, 2004
Last of
the first 18 lanes are laid and being installed. Approaches are
nearly finished as well. Ball returns have been put back
together. Final pin decks are being installed along with the flat
gutters on either side of the pin decks. Work is expected to be
finished Thursday, and Move to the high side on Friday.
May 7, 2004
Lanes are
expected to be finished today. Center caps should be installed and
final pin decks should be finished. Cleanup of the area will begin
and finish on Monday. Work on the last 18 lanes will begin on
Tuesday.
May 10,
2004
Cleanup
of the lanes and approaches finished. First Oiling of the the
lanes. Plastic was moved to cover the last 18 lanes in preparation
of the install there.
May 11,
2004
Work
continues as the last 18 lanes are prepared for installation.
Crews hope to open up lanes 19 - 24 by Friday. This will allow
more room for Open Bowling for the weekend as well as the start of
Summer Leagues next week.
May 14,
2004
Lanes 18
- 24 are completed for installation. Some adjustments still need
to be made and the lanes oiled. Lanes will be opened up on Monday
for the start of Summer Leagues next week. Material covers up to
lane 27. Sanding and leveling is done, rest of the installation is
scheduled to be completed by next Thursday.
May 17,
2004
Lanes 18
- 24 were opened up for use. Most of the material is out on the
lanes. Plastic is moved back to cover the remaining lanes to be
finished. Sanding and leveling of lanes was completed. Still
on schedule to finish by Thursday.
May 19,
2004
Finishing
touches are being applied. Ball Returns are being put back
together, center caps are being installed, pin decks and flat gutters
are being finished. On another note, Entryways are being
redone. Cleaning up after all the work is completed, set to
begin Thursday morning.
